English FA and Premier League has announced the release date of premier league 2017-18 season fixtures which will be on Wednesday, 14th June 2017. The season gets underway on Saturday, 12 August 2017 while the final round of matches will be on 13th May 2018. Because there is a world cup in summer 2018, both premier league and European competitions will end earlier than usual date. Once the premier league fixtures are announced officially on 14th June 2017 we will have this page updated into fixture format. Until than below are all the important dates in English football for 2017-18 season.
Here are the important dates for the 2017-18 english top flight league season and the domestic cup competitions. Season will get underway with the curtain raiser Community shield on 06 August 2017. While the premier league will begin following week on 11-12 August 2017.
Compiling the Premier League Season Schedule ?
Well there are alot of factors which are installed in the system before computerized fixture list is finalized, once the first draft of fixture list is compiled it is sent to all the 20 clubs playing in premier league & police departments of all regions hosting matches that season. Clubs and local police can request to make changes in the draft which can be implemented but the final decision rest of English FA.
Once the draft is accepted by all clubs and local police of all 20 stadiums regions Premier League fixtures are announced on usually the 3rd Wednesday of June.
