How Real Madrid made it 500 goals in the champions League

Zamorano scored the first and Cristiano Ronaldo hit the 500th with his opening goal to make it 0-1 against Juventus in cardiff

In a season which has seen records falling fast, Real Madrid became the first team in history to retain their Champions League title. They did so in Cardiff, which will hold a special place in the memory of madridismo as the city where they got their hands on the Duodécima. It was also in Wales that Zidane's charges achieved another historic milestone: becoming the first team to reach 500 goals in the competition (503). Cristiano brought up the incredible figure with the first of two goals he netted against Juventus.

The first madridista goal in the Champions League came from the boots of Iván Zamorano, in September 1995, in a victory over Grasshopper at the Bernabéu (2-0). In the 1998/99 campaign, Raúl netted goal number 50 in a win over Spartak Moscow (2-1) and in 2000/01, Savio brought up the century in the thrashing of SP Portugal (4-0).

The Brazilian Ronaldo made it 200 in the competition in Marseille, where the Whites recorded an away win over Olympique in November 2003 (1-2), while Benzema, against another French team in the shape of Auxerre, netted goal number 300 in a Group Stage clash of the 2010/11 season at the Santiago Bernabéu (4-0).

Historic
Cristiano Ronaldo has been the key man in the most recent round numbers. Prior to his goal Cardiff, he was also the scorer of the 400th goal in February 2014 as Real Madrid got the better of Schalke 04 at the Veltins Arena (1-6).

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be heading back to Manchester United this summer.... But this is no big deal for jose mourinho

Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be on his way back to Man United, says Tom McDermott

The 32-year-old is the ultimate big-game player, who despite his age, would be a phenomenal addition to any side were he to leave Madrid.

Keep up to date with ALL the Manchester United news, gossip, transfers and goals on our club page plus fixtures, results and live match commentary.

In recent years we’ve seen him tinker with his game too, leaving the step overs and penetrating runs from wide behind, and reinventing himself, quite simply, as the best No9 in the world.

Real recognised this last September, and rewarded him with a new £365,000 per week contract extension, tying him to the Santiago Bernabeu until at least 2021.

That is unless you were prepared to pay the £1billion buyout clause.

Cristiano Ronaldo opens scoring for Portugal against Russia

Cristiano Ronaldo looked to be coming close to reunion with Jose Mourinho

It’s been a stellar 12 months for Ronaldo, his finest in the game.

Earlier this month, in the 4-1 Champions League final win against Juventus, he scored twice to claim his third Champions League winners medal in the last four seasons.

This followed his Euro 2016 success with Portugal last summer, and the La Liga title in May.

Unsurprisingly he’s odds-on with the bookmakers to add the 2017 Ballon d'Or trophy to his 2016 one.

But, it wouldn’t be Ronaldo without a tantrum.

Portugal fans at Confed Cup say Ronaldo's tax fraud case does not matt

Cristiano Ronaldo had appeared to be ready to quit Real Madrid this summer

Before making his way to the Confederations Cup, he reportedly instructed agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new team because Real failed to back him after being accused of evading of £12.9m in tax between 2011 and 2014.

Ah, the toys were most certainly out and suddenly he was unhappy with everyone.

The authorities, the fans, his club. Everyone.

As sure as night follows day, it only took a matter of Twitter minutes for Ronaldo to be linked with a move back ‘home’ to United, but it’s a move that in all honestly, was never going to materialise, and here’s why…

Firstly, Ronaldo has previous form with United having fluttered his eyelashes towards David Moyes in 2013, only to remain in Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo shows off his head tennis skills in Portugal training

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates a third Champions League win in four years

It’s also likely in this instance he wants something to happen regarding the tax issue and/or a new contract.

It’s a problem that he and Mendes could probably resolve relatively quickly with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Anyone remember Sergio Ramos?

Then there’s agent Mendes, the man himself, who not only has Ronaldo on his books but also United manager Jose Mourinho.

Do you honestly think that Mourinho and United executive vice chairman Ed Woodward - who has negotiated with Mendes before - suddenly felt the need to rip up the list of transfer targets they were working on and focus on Ronaldo?

Unlike under Moyes and Louis van Gaal, United have a manager who won’t be led down the garden path chasing a wild goose until deadline day.

Real president Perez 'not contemplating' Christiano Ronaldo departure

Cristiano Ronaldo 'would only consider Manchester United in Premier League'

Because of the relationship Woodward, Mourinho and Mendes already have in place, you’d imagine that a conversation between the three about Ronaldo was done and dusted within a matter of minutes.

And from a United point of view the decision to move on isn’t a problem.

United fans should be relaxed this summer in the knowledge that Mourinho’s transfer targets will have been selected because of what they can bring to the team and because of their ability to accept his tactical demands.

I’m not suggesting for a minute that Ronaldo doesn’t possess this type of understanding, after all, he enjoyed success under Mourinho at Real.

But Mourinho is a manager now who normally gets what he wants during the summer transfer window and in his second year in charge at a club usually delivers even more success than the first.

Ronaldo, or not, United are in good hands.

How to Get Your Ex Boyfriend Back

Breaking up really hurts! What pisses me off most is that everyone always tell you to just forget your ex and move on. But it's not as easy as they think. Today, I'm going to be different. I will show you ways to get your Ex back.
So, If you're a Lady trying to get your ex Boyfriend back, Keep reading...
8 Ways To Get Him Back Without Looking Desperate:

1.       Agree with why things ended.
You obviously broke up for some reasons. If he mentions those reasons, don't dispute them. Have the bravery to hear the truth in what he's saying, accept it and apologize for it. Don't let your pride step in and overshadow your heart desire to be loved and be happy

2.       Avoid being available all the time. Always being available will only make him think that you're just sitting around waiting for him to call or text. If you are not busy, then text him back, if you're busy, text or call him when you're done. You can briefly say something like "sorry I couldn't pick up, I was busy with something else." Don't give him details. Give his mind something to be busy with. :-)

3.       Don't Convince Him To Come Back.
You don't have to convince him to be with you.
Trying to convince your ex to come back will just push him further away.
Desperation kills the attraction any man may have for you. Men are drawn to women who are happy with themselves. So, be happy, live your life and let your happiness shine. This will make him want to be with you again.

4.       Let Him Come To You
Men value what they had to work for. When you miss your ex, don't make it easy for him. Let him wonder what you're doing. He will begin to contact you because he wants to see you, or because he misses you, etc. When he reaches out, respond warmly and appropriately until you know what his intentions and motivations are. WARNING: Avoid having sex with him until the issues that led to the break up are resolved.

5.       Find out if your ex still cares. If you handled the breakup poorly, have acted badly towards him since the breakup, have been rude, or stalked him. it will be less likely that he still cares. But If you've been mature and caring, there is every possibility that he still cares for you too. Before you try to win him back, be sure you know if he still cares or not. Being desperate to get him back when he does not care is not going to work. Knowing that your ex still cares about you is the most important sign that things can still be mended.

6.       Use the past to your advantage. If he complimented a particular outfit, wear it again. Or, share a light-hearted memory with him. If you have a chance to meet him, do it in a familiar place where you used to enjoy good times together.

7.       Pay quality attention to your appearance. Get your nails and hair done. Take a nice warm bubble bath, and pick out a nice outfit.

8.       Invite him to talk to you. Express regret that things didn't work out between the two of you. Ask him if you can talk; now that you've had a break from the relationship and you've both had time to reflect on it.

When your man finally comes back to you, don't just pick up where the relationship left off. He will be motivated to truly resolve the issues that led to the breakup because he wants you back. Now is the time to address and work on these issues. Don't let him convince you that the problem was yours. Even if the problem started with you, the way he responded or didn't respond made things worse. Do your best to resolve these issues without letting him know you're doing the work. Yes..
Why you shouldn't let him know is because he won't believe it until he experiences the changes. Just do the work and see how he responds. If he responds positively, you're moving in the right direction. If he continues the behavior that contributed to your breakup then leave him—he's not the one for you!

MOST IMPORTANTLY:
If he uses you, is verbally, physically and/or emotionally abusive towards you, influences you to do things that are immoral, illegal, has drug abuse problems,

Lie down flat with your back on the floor. Place your hands on the ground to your sides for balance; you can pick them up as you get used to the movement. Simultaneously raise your knees and torso so that your knees and face meet on an imaginary line extending from your pelvis to the ceiling. Put your body into the push-up position but with your elbows on the floor, and your whole body flat. This position is also known as the plank, and it trains your your abs. Hold this position for as long as possible.

To perform the side static hold, roll onto one side of your body and lift into the same position as before. This time, only one arm will be on the ground, with the other arm pointed straight up the air and your non weight-bearing leg resting on your bottom leg. Once again, hold this for as long as possible.

In addition to the above, for you to have abs, you also need to:
Loose fat • Do cardiovascular workouts • Avoid late night meals • don't skip breakfast • Drink more water every day • Try eating lean protein in the morning • Lift weights • Control your stress & Get the right amount of sleep •
Good luck Guys!

How to Get a Guy to Notice You

By now you may be wondering: "how on Earth do I get his attention?” don't worry, I have 6 ways for you to catch his eye and make him wonder why he’s never noticed you before!

1.       Firstly, you need to Fall in Love with yourself. Guys will always notice a girl who loves who she is and is proud of herself. If you appear to be happy with yourself and your life, then the guy will want to be part of it. If you look desperate to find a guy to make you feel complete, you will hardly attract any man that comes your way.
Do not to change who you are in order to impress a guy. Find someone who likes you for you, and if he doesn't then forget him!

2.       Pick a Close Location
Let me be honest with you.. Admiring him from afar will not get you anywhere.
Despite the fact that your palms may get sweaty at the idea of sitting next to this guy during your next meeting, it’s definitely worth a try. Chances are you were sitting fairly close when you first spotted him, so moving a few seats over for a better and closer view, wont be a bad idea.

3.       Dress to Impress him and also, Look good.
Before he can fall in love with your incredible personality, he is going to notice your appearance. This doesn’t mean you need to spend all your day making up, but a little extra effort can do you a lot of good.
Yes.. One more thing: Don't keep checking your reflection in a mirror or window whenever you're out. This will make guys think that you're very insecure about your looks. So, save the examination for the ladies room.

4.       Make Accidental Eye Contacts.
If you're fortunate to see him at a party, you’re definitely lucky.  You may start by making eye contact every once in a while from across the room. If it happens more than once, give an inviting smile. this will make him know you're approachable, and he will come over to find out who you are!

WARNING: Don't look desperate for attention. If he doesn't notice you right away, don't force it by awkwardly tapping him or winking at him. This will only push him away.

5.      Have a relatable body language. Your body should say that you're confident and ready to talk to the guy. Keep your head raised and don't cross your arms over your chest. Avoid any distraction, while talking to him.  Instead, lean in to hear the guy talk, and even give him a light touch on the arm if things are going well.
Once you're more comfortable, you can start flirting with the guy. Tease him a little bit, and let him tease you back. To spice things up, you can talk a bit more softly than usual. This will make him lean in to hear what you have to say.

6.       Now that the guy has noticed you, you have to make sure that he wants to keep talking to you and appreciates the unique and amazing person that you really are.
Always be yourself, Be engaging, be fun to talk to, Show what makes you special, spend quality time with him.. If everything is going well between you both, then you should go beyond getting the guy to notice you.. get him to ask you out.
You can mention that you want to do something fun over the weekend but don't know what.. just don't be too obvious about it.
Now that the guy has noticed you, it's up to you to keep his attention. If you're true to yourself and stay fun and positive, he will definitely ask you out sooner than you expect.

With these tricks up your sleeves, getting guys to notice you wont be a problem.

My First Kiss

Enjoy this true life story of The Romantic First Kiss between me and my girlfriend.

My first Kiss went like this:

I stared into her beautiful brown eyes,
I could feel the blood rushing throughout my body.
And as I brushed the hair out of her face, I slowly moved my hand down her soft slender cheek, and as my skin touched hers, our hearts beat faster.
As she run her hands through my hair, I leaned towards her, and I breath in her.
And when our eyes closed, our lips met.
Honestly, our kiss was soft and wet, smooth and warm, sensuous and passionate.
The kiss hit our whole body like ocean waves. We both felt all our emotion at once.
It's a feeling that even words cannot describe.
As we pulled away, she looked into my eyes, and I looked into hers. We smiled realizing that was our first kiss. And believe me, it wasn't our last.. We're still kissing passionately till date.. :-)
And I can never forget that lovely day.

How to Get a Flat Stomach

Every Woman wants to achieve a toned, flat tummy.. Many people think starving. themselves is the best way to get a flat tummy, but trust me, your results will only be temporary and you will feel frustrated sooner, which makes you much more likely to give up.
If you want a flat tummy, follow these 9 Simple Steps To Flatten Your Stomach.

1.       Drink enough water. Drinking lots of water will help to flush toxins out of your system and keep your bowels moving. So, you need to replace all your regular beverages with water, especially soda and sugared drinks which are full of empty calories and will cause your stomach to swell up.

2.       Avoid eating anything 2—3 Hours before sleep.
This is one important thing you must not ignore—if you want to achieve a flat stomach. Your body slows down when you sleep, which will prevent your body from digesting the food in your stomach properly.
You are also less active in the evenings and at night, which means that your body is more likely to store the calories you consume late at night as fat, rather than burning them as energy.

3. •       Eat lots of lean protein. Beans, nuts, and lean meat are rather good for you as long as you do not eat the fat.
• Eat whole grains
• Eat low-fat dairy products
• Eat healthy fats. Eg: avocados, nuts and oil fish.. These can actually help you loose weight.
• Reduce your sodium intake. Sodium causes your body to retain water, which causes you to look bloated, especially around your abdominal region.

4.        Exercise. Activities such as dancing, boxing, running, swimming, cycling, and walking at a good pace will all help burn fat. In fact, anything that brings your heart rate up will do the trick!
• You may also incorporate strength training to build muscle. Having more muscle will increase your metabolism, so you'll burn calories faster over time.
• Crunches work the upper abdomen, leg raises work the lower abdomen, and weight lifting also helps big time.

5.       Eat less. One other good trick is to use smaller plates when you eat meals. That way, your plate will look like it's heaped with food, but you're actually eating less than you normally would.

6.       Cut out sugar from your diet. Having less sugar in your system will help to lower your insulin levels.
Lower insulin levels equate to greater production of a hormone known as glucagon in your system.
Glucagon is a substance that allows glucose to be burned as energy, thus contributing to an incredibly flat stomach!

7.       We Cut down on alcohol. Alcohol consumption also releases estrogen into the system, which is bad, because excess estrogen causes the body to retain weight.

8.      VGet enough sleep so that you won't feel tired all the time. Studies have also shown that inadequate sleep can cause weight gain, so get yourself to bed!
In addition: Having adequate rest helps you to relieve stress. You will feel less likely to go on an eating spree.

9.      Doctors, personal trainers and certified dietitians, can also help you in your quest to have a flat tummy. Going to see a personal trainer or a doctor can help greatly because they can give you a diet and exercise plan that will help you get to your desired weight. Working from their guidance is much easier than doing it alone.

Top ten most expensive signings aged 30 and over

Cristiano Ronaldo would cost a fair whack more than all these 30-somethings, that’s for sure…

10.    Graziano Pelle (£13m, Southampton to Shandong Luneng in 2016)

Many a footballer has been tempted to China by one thing in particular. Ask Ezequiel Lavezzi, Carlos Tevez, Oscar, Hulk, Axel Witsel and numerous other players why they have taken the brave step from Europe to the Far East, and the answer is almost unequivocal.

“I came here for the project,” they will say at their first press conference. “I want to help increase the popularity of the sport in this country,” others will claim. Such statements are as transparent as the windows in their new mansion.

When the same question was delivered to Graziano Pelle, he aimed for the stands instead of playing a straight bat. “Obviously I would never have come here if it wasn’t for all that money,” he said after leaving Southampton for Shandong Luneng in 2016. The striker more than quadrupled his wages just four days before his 31st birthday. Lovely present.

9.       Medhi Benatia (£14.8m, Bayern Munich to Juventus in 2017)

Those who doubt the veracity of the Fountain of Youth have never been to Turin. Juventus fielded three central defenders in the Champions League final earlier this month aged 36, 32 and 30. Gianluigi Buffon is 39 and going strong. Dani Alves is 34 and still courted by Europe’s elite.

Medhi Benatia was an unused substitute for that defeat to Real Madrid in Cardiff, and is the Italian side’s veritable youngster. Max Allegri signed the Moroccan on loan from Bayern Munich in summer 2016 before making the move permanent 12 months later. The 30-year-old started just 17 games in all competitions last season, and could feature even less often if youngster Daniele Rugani’s development is justifiably prioritised. He’s not a bad option to have in reserve, mind.

8.       Angelo Peruzzi (£15.7m, Inter to Lazio in 2000)

Countless Italian goalkeepers have been lost in the evergreen shadow of Gianluigi Buffon. Gianluca Pagliuca, Francesco Toldo and Christian Abbiati have all enjoyed accomplished careers, but they would have been remembered more fondly without the magic Gigi making each look like Massimo Taibi in comparison. That’s a touch strong, but still.

Chief among those eclipsed by the Juventus legend is a man who achieved more, at least in terms of trophies won. Both can boast a full sweep on the domestic scene and a World Cup winner’s medal, but only Peruzzi has a Champions League title to his name. He claimed Europe’s premier trophy in 1996 before leaving for Inter in 1999, then Lazio a year later at 30.

Buffon may have displaced Peruzzi at both club and international level, but Superman must envy his elder’s achievements. And yet Peruzzi was still not named on our list of the top ten goalkeepers from the 1990s.

7.       Zlatan Ibrahimovic (£15.7m, Milan to PSG in 2012)

When Zlatan Ibrahimovic left Paris Saint-Germain in 2016, he claimed that he had arrived as ‘a king’ and departed as ‘a legend’. The Swede became the club’s record goalscorer in four whirlwind years; it was hardly one of his more outlandish statements.

The striker has won trophies at every club he has graced, but he developed a particular taste for silver upon his move to the French capital. Ibrahimovic won an average of three trophies a season at PSG, and his only two placings in the voting for the Ballon d’Or came in France. He finished 10th in 2012, then fourth a year later. That the finest years of his career came at the Parc des Princes is almost fitting. His £15.7m fee as a 30-year-old in 2012 exceeded the £12m Juventus paid to sign him from Ajax as a 22-year-old in 2004.

6.       Jeremy Mathieu (£15.8m, Valencia to Barcelona in 2014)

“It’s not good to pick on single players after a defeat. It’s a defeat for the whole team, starting with the coach,” said Luis Enrique after Barcelona were swept aside by Juventus in the Champions League quarter-final first leg in April. It was an honest but flawed assessment, considering Jeremy Mathieu was substituted at half-time. The Frenchman has not featured since.

Mathieu was never a popular signing due to his advancing years. He was 30 when Barcelona spent a not-inconsiderable £15.8m on him in 2014, handing him a four-year contract. The 33-year-old was not as disastrous a purchase as Dmytro ‘ctrl + c, ctrl + v’ Chygrynskiy, but he will not go down in Nou Camp folklore when he he surely leaves this summer.

5.       Claude Makelele (£16m, Real Madrid to Chelsea in 2003)

There are few things better in the world of football than a complete lack of perspective. Which brings us to Les Ferdinand, who remarked in 2014 that “the worst thing that happened in this league was Claude Makelele”.

Of course, the then-Tottenham coach’s actual complaint lay mainly in the advent of the holding midfielder, not in Makelele himself. Ferdinand would add that both Chris Ramsey and Tim Sherwood “agreed” with him regarding the issue, which just feels right.

One thing is for sure: Makelele spent five years in England, but forced many to change their tactical outlooks. Of the many players Chelsea have signed since the billions of Roman Abramovich first adorned the Stamford Bridge halls, the Frenchman might well be one of the most important.

4.      Claudio Bravo (£17m, Barcelona to Manchester City in 2016)

Pep Guardiola is many things: A revolutionary manager; an accomplished former player; bald. But for all the Spaniard’s numerous achievements, his transfer record is more than a little patchy.

The aforementioned Chygrynskiy was often thought to be his very worst purchase ever, the little-known centre-half arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk for £21.6m in 2009 before returning to the same club less than 12 months later for £12.4m.

Claudio Bravo might have just finally edged out the Ukrainian. The Chilean was already 33 when Guardiola spent a whopping £17m to bring him to Manchester City last summer, meaning Bravo is the only player to appear in a list of the ten most expensive goalkeepers of all time twice. He was supposed to embody the new manager’s ethos of building from the back, but infamously embarked on a run of games without making a single save before losing his place to bloody Willy Caballero. That Guardiola saw fit to spent £34.9m on Ederson less than a year after Bravo’s arrival tells its own story.

3.       Samuel Eto’o (£22m, Inter to Anzhi in 2011)

Back in February 2014, Jose Mourinho was left frustrated after a secret recording emerged of him criticising his Chelsea strikers. The Portuguese questioned the standard of Fernando Torres and Demba Ba, who had at that point scored a combined 11 goals in 44 appearances. Then Mourinho turned his attention to forward number three:

“I have Eto’o, but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, I don’t know,” said the manager, charming as ever.

Eto’o’s response was simple: He scored on his next Premier League start against Tottenham, and proceeded to celebrate by limping towards the corner flag, holding his back and grimacing. He would brand Mourinho a “fool” for calling him an “old man” when his contract at Stamford Bridge expired that summer.

If Mourinho thought Eto’o was an “old man” at 33, one can only wonder what he thought when Anzhi Makhachkala spent a whopping £22m – plus a weekly wage of £350,000 – on the Cameroonian two years before. The return? Thirty-six goals in 73 games, with billionaire Suleyman Kerimov eventually cutting the club’s budget by two-thirds in summer 2013 due to a lack of success. Eto’o was one of 21 players sold in that transfer window.

2.       Gabriel Batistuta (£23.5m, Fiorentina to Roma in 2000)

Bravo is the most expensive 33-year-old in history; Angel Gabriel holds the crown for those aged 31. And the regal vocabulary is no coincidence, for he is rightfully considered royalty at home and in Italy.

Batistuta emerged in his native Argentina as a talented forward, taking in the biggest names of his home country in his earlier years. He started at Newell’s before moving on to River Plate and then Boca Juniors. By 1991, the forward had earned a transfer that would come to define his career.

The Argentine spent nine years at Fiorentina, rejecting overtures from Manchester United and Liverpool, helping them return to Serie A after their relegation in 1993, and establishing himself as a club legend. The icon had earned enough credit by 2000 to leave for Italian rivals Roma for £23.5m to capture an elusive top-flight title. He was the club’s top scorer with 20 goals as they finished two points clear of Juventus in his first season.

1.       Diego Milito (£24.7m, Genoa to Inter in 2009)

If Ronaldo does leave Real this summer, he will dethrone Diego Milito as the most expensive player aged 30 or over. The two already share more than one thing in common: the Portuguese became the first player since Milito to score two goals in a Champions League final earlier this month.

It just so happens that Jose Mourinho, the man who would be welcoming Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, sanctioned the deal to sign Milito, who had only turned 30 weeks earlier, for Inter Milan in 2009. The Argentinean scored 24 goals in the 2008/09 Serie A season for Genoa, finishing just one short of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. And with the latter departing for Barcelona, Mourinho had to source a replacement.

In came Milito – ‘The Prince’ – and despite initial reservations over both his price and age, the rest is history. He netted 30 times in 52 games as Inter and Mourinho sealed a memorable treble, with Milito crowning a historic personal season with two goals against Bayern Munich in Madrid.
